Gloria, Insurance Coordinator

Hi! My name is Gloria, and I am the Remote Insurance Coordinator working with Rooted Dental Wellness via my company, BackBone. I love being able to help our patients out of the office so I can 1) keep their private information confidential as I am on the phone a lot with insurance companies and 2) take all the phone call noise & investigative phone conversations that goes into insurance coordination OUT of the serene dental environment Rooted Dental has created. I’ve been in the dental field for 17 years as a dental assistant, receptionist, financial treatment coordinator, practice manager, and consultant. I’ve been doing insurance billing and collections for a solid 13 years now, so I really am your girl when it comes to getting you the most coverage from your insurance, even if we are out of network with them! Rooted is unlike any practice I’ve ever worked with. They are interested in helping their patients without all the dental salesy products and gadgets. They care about the patient’s well-being first, foremost, and always. Comprehensive therapy is a word I consider synonymous with Rooted Dental Wellness. They use dental procedures to help restore teeth back to proper function but also involve the entire system, as the mouth is, after all, connected to the body and essential for healing. I live in Chicago, but I am heavily considering ongoing visits to Cali for treatment with them ;) What I love most about my job is being a detective for our patients. There’s usually a mystery on what an insurance plan will cover, how they will cover it, and in some cases- why there are issues with payments. It’s fun to get answers! Outside of dental work, I like doing arts & crafts, reading, and acting. My little family consists of my boyfriend Oleg, and our doggie Bobo.
